It was a fearless start for first season sire Pierata at the 2YO trials in Sydney as Pierata colt packs plenty of punch.
Heat 3 was won by the Team Snowden-trained Fearless - a colt by Pierata, who stands at Yulong in Victoria at a fee of $44,000 (inc GST).
Fearless made $220,000 from the Highgrove Stud draft at the 2023 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale. He was purchased by James Harron Bloodstock Colt Partnership. The colt is from the winning Rothesay mare Matildare and she is a half-sister to Gold Anthem (Made Of Gold {USA}) - the dam of the eliet-level winner and Group 1-producing sire Starsspangledbanner. Fearless is closely related to the top-level scorers Circles Of Gold (Marscay), Haradasun and Elvstroem.
“He’s always been a horse that’s put his hand up quite early for us,” Paul Snowden told Sky Thoroughbred Central.
“He’s a big, scopey type of colt who’s got a good action about him.”
Pictured is our Pierata filly from stakes placed mare Withabitofdash. Shares are available in our filly and with the super start Pierata has made we look forward to seeing our filly continue to progress.
Our filly is currently back in work and while we see her as more of a 3YO type, the promising start both this colt and our filly has made has us excited about the future.
