Promising filly Sixteen Reasons will return to the Stakes-grade arena after a deserved maiden win at Gawler on Wednesday.
Luckless in the Listed Nitschke Stakes (1400m) when sixth behind a subsequent Group 1 winner in Royal Merchant (who finished second), the three-year-old Jukebox filly proved too strong against much weaker opposition.
Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea's racing manager Lachie Weekley said the filly will line up in the Listed Lightning Stakes (1050m) at Morphettville on July 29.
"She's always been a filly we've really liked, it's been good to get a result today," Weekley said.
"She's a horse we think can get to a pretty good level, so hopefully she's kicked her prep off in the right way."
A win in the Lightning Stakes would be a third-consecutive success in the race for Clarken after victories to Beau Rossa and Extremely Lucky most recently last year.
