Silent Surrente flew late to score in the last of the day at Murray Bridge, on Saturday.
The daughter of Melbourne Cup winner Fiorente, appreciated the step up in trip to the mile, and was aided by the handy three-kilo claim of Alana Livesey.
Having run well first up for the stable after transfering from the McEvoy yard, it was fantastic to see the mare return to winning form. Showing her staying capabilities, she relaxed well back in the field, and while it wasn't plain sailing on straightening, Alana found the gap at the right time which saw the mare hit the line with great intent.
The mare has strung together a great record. Having only had six starts she has struck at a 50% strike rate winning three of those and we look forward to seeing what else she can produce this preparation as she continues to develop and strengthen.
It was great to use the services of Alana Livesey for the first time. A rider who has shown plenty of promise since making her metro debut only a short few months ago.
Silent Surrente is from the stakes winning mare, Silent Surround. We now train all of her progeny with Silent Don (Dundeel), Silent Emmy (So You Think), and Silent Command (Commands) transfering over with Niki O'Shea. Stakes winning mare Silent Sovereign (Dalakhani) also transfered over with Silent Surrente.
It is with great pleasure to have a high quality family in the stable, and we look forward to seeing further success with the progeny of Silent Surround.
