Will Clarken's duo He's A Balter and Parsifal are set to charge down the Meydan straight once again on Saturday morning as they line up in the Group 2 Blue Point Sprint (1000m).
Caitlin Jones has elected to ride He's a Balter after finishing a narrow second in the Dubai Sprint Consolation while Jamie Spencer will jump aboard Parsifal, who finished sixth in his international debut.
Offering a purse of $250,000 (AUD), the sprint which recognises Godolphin's globetrotting sprinter will be run at 2:45am (AEDT).
Both horses are back to 1000 metres, with Clarken, who is now on the ground in Dubai, to apply the blinkers on Parsifal from barrier two and indicating during the week the horse had put on 16 kilograms since his previous run on January 28.
He's A Balter has had the tongue tie removed and will jump from gate five down the straight course.
"He's A Balter's run, only just being beaten, was enormous and a great thrill, he's such a gentleman of an animal and doesn't miss a beat and tries so hard," Jones said to local media this week.
"Parsifal's run was just as good in such a class field, it's hard to separate them."
Speaking to After the Last on Wednesday, He's A Balter's managing owner Anthony Panozzo, who has already experienced Dubai's World Cup Carnival with Illustrious Lad, said both horses had trained on well.
"Will has reported they have both trained on super and there is not a lot between them," Panozzo said.
"It's a stronger race and normally a lead-up into Super Saturday and the Al Quoz Sprint ultimately.
"I've had a good read of the form, Godolphin have Luzali, who is a 112-rated horse and kind of stands out, but his form has been a bit mixed.
"From there on it does drop away a little bit, there is not a lot of top-quality sprinters there and that was the reason four months ago that we started thinking with COVID and the rest of the world not going there."
